Lehman appoints commodities head in Asia

Lehman Brothers has hired Arun Murthy as head of commodities trading for Asia.

Murthy will report locally to Jai Rajpal, head of fixed income for Singapore and South-east Asia, and globally to Satu Parikh, global co-head of commodities, based in New York. In his new role, he will be based in Singapore.

Murthy joins Lehman Brothers from Goldman Sachs, where he had traded a wide variety of commodities products for 11 years. He was most recently head of agriculture trading for Asia, and before that was head of crude and naphtha trading.
