Lehman Brothers has hired Arun Murthy as head of commodities trading for Asia.Murthy will report locally to Jai Rajpal, head of fixed income for Singapore and South-east Asia, and globally to Satu Parikh, global co-head of commodities, based in New York. In his new role, he will be based in Singapore.
Murthy joins Lehman Brothers from Goldman Sachs, where he had traded a wide variety of commodities products for 11 years. He was most recently head of agriculture trading for Asia, and before that was head of crude and naphtha trading.
