Derivative Fitch appoints New York head

Richard Hrvatin has joined Derivative Fitch's quantitative structured credit innovation (Q-SCI) team to head the New York arm of the group.

The Q-SCI group focuses on quantitative modelling of innovative structured credit instruments. Hrvatin is a managing director and has been with Fitch for the past nine years.

Hrvatin was previously a senior member of the collateralised debt obligation (CDO) ratings team of Fitch Ratings, most recently responsible for ratings of synthetic CDOs, credit derivatives and market value structures. Before joining Fitch, Hrvatin held positions in the structured finance groups at Financial Security Assurance and Sakura Bank.
