BNP Paribas reshuffles investment bank

BNP Paribas has reorganised its commercial and investment banking arm to concentrate more attention on its valued major clients.

The bank said today that its new coverage division, under Eric Raynaud, would focus on "major clients". Raynaud, previously head of structured finance and portfolio management, will work with corporate finance head Thierry Varene to develop relationships with new clients in Europe.

BNP Paribas has also created two other new businesses. The global structured finance division will cover origination, structuring, execution and syndication, under Dominique Remy, who was previously head of energy, commodities, export and project financing. André Boulanger, formerly head of BNP Paribas in Belgium, will lead the corporate and transaction group, and will report to Remy.
