Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) hired five new staff to beef up its credit and derivatives sales and marketing team.Scott Nichols has joined DrKW as a director for sales and marketing, responsible for the distribution of credit products in the Nordic region. Nichols previously worked at Svenska Handelsbanken in Stockholm, where he was a manager for bond syndicate and credit products. Nichols will report to Giovanni Marolda, DrKW’s European head of credit sales.
The German bank hired Jan Sass Kindberg as a director responsible for the marketing of liquid market products to clients in the Nordic region. Kindberg was hired from HypoVereinsbank, where he was a senior sales manager for the Nordic region. Kindberg will report to Charles Matterson, DrKW's head of liquid market sales for Europe.
Alex Grobman has also joined DrKW as a director responsible for marketing credit products to hedge funds. Grobman was hired from Commerzbank where he marketed convertible bonds to European and American based hedge funds. At DrKW, Grobman will reports to Angela Osborne, head of hedge Fund sales, and Marolda. Meanwhile, Mike Egerton was hired as a director of derivatives marketing, covering financial institutions in the UK and Ireland. Prior to joining DrKW, Egerton marketed structured products to clients at Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch.
And DrKW has recruited Albert Shamash as a vice-president of derivatives marketing, covering life insurance companies in the UK. Shamash joins from Swiss Re where he worked for five years and qualified as a UK life actuary.
Both Egerton and Shamash will report to John Cusins, co-head financial institutions derivatives marketing.
