Andreasen was Risk’s quant of the year 2001, along with then-Gen Re Securities colleague Leif Andersen. Since then, Andreasen joined Bank of America in London as a quant specialising in exotics, before he left in March this year. He will relocate to Copenhagen to take on his Nordea role.
Both Andreasen and Bangert, who also worked at Gen Re, are due to start work for Nordea in June. “The intention is to boost Nordea's capacity in the exotic/structured products area. We will be covering the structured business in the areas of rates, credit, long-dated forex and hybrid business for the bank from Copenhagen,” Andreasen told RiskNews. Andreasen said he moved to Denmark to be closer to family and friends.
Ironically, only a month separated Andersen reuniting with Andreasen. Andersen has also left Gen Re, joining Bank of America. He started work for BofA in New York within the past two weeks as head quant for structured credit.
