Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) has hired Fredrik Carstens, Anthony Frieze, Alison Briggs and Jay Schreyer to its newly-created agency securities lending team.DrKW hired Carstens as European head of sales and marketing in London. He joins DrKW after six years at Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for developing the agency securities lending business as well as client relationships in Europe.
In Hong Kong, DrKW hired Frieze as head of marketing for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. He was also previously at Deutsche Bank, where he was regional head of securities lending for the Asia-Pacific region. Both Carsten and Frieze report to Tim Smollen, global co-head of agency securities lending at DrKW, based in London.
DrKW hired Briggs as director and European head of cash investment for agency securities lending in London. She was previously at Deutsche Bank, where she headed non-dollar investment management for its European agency lending business.
Jay Schreyer joins as European head of fixed income & equity trading for agency securities lending business. Prior to his appointment, Schreyer built up and ran Deutsche Bank's agency lending desk. Both Briggs and Schreyer will report to David Martocci, DrKW's global co-head of agency securities lending and global head of asset and liability trading, based in New York.
