Moving beyond equity

Customisation and diversification are the name of the game for structured notes marketed to high-net-worth investors. Recently, equity-linked notes have dominated the structured note market.

While that trend is set to continue, structured product specialists say investors are beginning to look beyond the European and US equity markets. The wealthy are diversifying their portfolios by using notes providing exposure to global equity markets, and – for the first time in years – the commodities
