Risk's 2007 corporate end-user rankings see Deutsche Bank repeat last year's first-place win. Citi and Barclays Capital take second and third place, in a year characterised by record merger and acquisition activity. By Mark Pengelly, with research by Xiao-Long Chen

The way things are going, Risk's corporate end-user survey may end up with fewer respondents in 2008. The past year has seen a record number of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and analysts predict similar levels will be reached this year. This has put financing, hedging and the building of equity stakes in target companies firmly at the top of some companies' agendas - and has led to a boom in business for those financial institutions best able to meet those companies' needs.
