Building support: CFTC’s reforms in the cold?

Many in the industry breathed a sigh of relief after the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) posted its notice of rule making on position limits on January 14. The limits suggested are relatively high and likely to affect only a handful of large participants. According to the CFTC, 10 traders would come under the new regulations, if they are implemented after a 90-day comment period.
