Risk interdealer rankings 2012: Brokers

The usual names fought for the usual product categories in this year’s rankings – and many of the usual winners emerged. But the interdealer broker market is on the cusp of dramatic change. By Joe Rennison

The shape of the post-crisis derivatives market is getting clearer and brokers are getting a better idea of what is at stake. New rules could cement their role in the over-the-counter space for years to come and hand them a lucrative business – or rob them of their current status and pitch them into a much larger competitive arena.
