Scotiabank promotes Hart to risk chief

Stephen Hart has been appointed to the position of chief risk officer at Scotiabank. Hart will replace Rob Pitfield who is retiring after a 30-year career at Scotiabank.

Hart joined Scotiabank in 1978 and was made chief credit officer in October 2008. Since 1999, he has worked in global risk management, initially as senior vice-president for corporate credit, and then as head of global risk management. Prior to this, he headed the corporate banking unit
