Robert Khuzami latest to quit US regulator

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced the departure of Robert Khuzami, its enforcement director. He is expected to leave at the end of January.

Khuzami, appointed by former SEC chair Mary Schapiro in 2009, is the latest in a series of top-level resignations following Schapiro’s decision to step down on December 14.

Since the announcement of Schapiro’s departure in November, the SEC has lost corporation finance director Meredith
