MF Global reinvention continues with new derivatives hires

Brokerage adds to commodity and equity teams, and prepares to close Paris and Zurich offices

Broker-dealer MF Global has continued the process of remaking itself as an investment bank, expanding its derivatives teams and preparing to consolidate its European operations in London and Geneva.

Shay Caherly has joined as head of commodity derivatives trading, along with three commodity derivatives traders: Christopher Chiarilli, Charles Daly and Christopher Wright. All will be based in New York. Caherly was previously head of commodity derivatives at ED&F Man Holdings, which, like MF Global
