Wriedt joins Providence

Providence Equity Partners, a US private equity fund manager, has hired Oliver Wriedt as a managing director in its capital markets group.

Wriedt will be based in New York and report to Thomas Gahan, president of the capital markets group.

Wriedt has served in senior positions in structured and leveraged finance for the past decade. Most recently, he was a senior managing director at Sciens Capital Management between August 2008 and October 2009. Prior to that he was co-head of marketing and
