Boillereau takes over cash FX at HSBC as Brown departs

Frederic Boillereau, global head of foreign exchange and metals at HSBC in London has added cash FX to his responsibilities. Andrew Brown, global head of FX and a nine-year veteran of the bank, has left the bank. Boillereau's new role will bring together FX Spot, FX Forward, FX Options and the Metals businesses into a single global product offering.

"E-Commerce remains a priority and we will continue to invest strongly in this area," says Samir Assaf, head of global markets at HSBC in an internal announcement.

Boillereau joined HSBC in 1998 and previously worked at Credit Agricole Indosuez in New York and London. In 2002, he took over responsibility for FX Option Trading and was appointed global head of FX and precious metals derivatives in 2006. In May 2008, he added responsibility for HSBC's Metals business.
