Soros risk chief joins rival fund

Peruvemba Satish, head of risk management at Soros Fund Management, has left the firm to join rival fund DKR Capital in Stamford, Connecticut, where he becomes chief risk officer.

Satish was with Soros for three years. Before that he spent two years at State Street.

DKR is an asset management company specialising in alternative investment strategies, with $3.6 billion in assets under management. Satish said he was attracted to the challenge of building up a newer fund.

He will report to chief investment officer John Maltby.
