Hans-Peter Bauer, former global head of fixed income, currencies and derivatives at Union Bank of Switzerland, has left the bank, confirms a UBSspokesperson. The spokesperson wouldn't confirm press reports that Bauer was dismissed following poor derivatives trading results at the bank.

UBS dismissed four executives late last year after its equity derivatives operation lost some 200 million Swiss francs due to errors in derivatives pricing models (RMO, December 1, 1997)
