Standard Chartered names two new global heads

Standard Chartered Bank has named new global heads of structuring, and equity derivatives and commodities.

Vinod Aachi, who was formerly the managing director of the Asian relative value group at Deutsche Bank, was appointed as the global head of structuring, a newly created post. Aachi replaces interim head Benoit-Gilles Cambier, the global head of risk management advisory and quant development, who has moved to Santander as head of rates exotics and hybrids for Latin America.

Vincent Van Pelt has been appointed as global head of equity derivatives and commodities, also a newly created post, after 14 years at Bear Stearns, where he was co-head of European equities. Commodity derivatives trading head Jeremy East, and equity derivatives and convertible bonds head Warren Kwan will report to him.

Both Aachi and Van Pelt will be based in Singapore and will report to the group head of financial markets, Lenny Feder.
