RBS appoints COO for Asia-Pacific

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has appointed Mike Kirby as chief operating officer for Asia-Pacific within its global banking and markets (GBM) business.

Kirby transfers from RBS’ London office, where he was chief operating officer for Europe, and reports to John McCormick, chief executive of GBM Asia-Pacific, and John Hourican, chief operating officer of GBM.

Kirby will be a member of the bank’s Asia-Pacific GBM executive committee, and will contribute to strategy and infrastructure development in the region.
