The compliance implications of AIFMD

The Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, or AIFMD, was implemented in the UK on July 22 this year and is likely to have a significant impact on compliance professionals in the fund management industry. The impact however will depend on the type of fund, where the funds and the fund managers are domiciled, where the funds are marketed and the manager's total assets under management
