US agencies shift from arrest to defence in cyberspace

The roles of the FBI and Secret Service in cyber security are due to shift, with the agencies concentrating on defence and warning, rather than pursuing cross-border attackers

US federal law enforcement agencies will shift to spreading information about cyber attacks and advising on defence, as arresting attackers in other countries becomes less and less practical.
