UK banks improving on sales incentives, says FCA's Wheatley

Three out of four major UK banks now link incentives to more than just sales, regulator says

Martin Wheatley, chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), has told delegates at a conference that financial institutions are implementing changes to their incentive schemes. 

Speaking at the British Bankers' Association's annual international banking conference in London today, Wheatley said that early analysis showed banks are starting to abandon systems in which incentives depend entirely on sales.
