Next FASB chairman to be Golden

The US Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has named Russell Golden, a board member since 2010, as its next chairman. Golden will take over on July 1, succeeding Leslie Seidman, who has served as chairman since December 2010.

Golden was first elected to the board in 2010 and re-elected in 2012 for a five-year term. For six years before his election, he worked for FASB as a technical specialist, joining in 2004 as a senior technical adviser, and becoming director of technical application
