Hedge fund manager charged in Galleon insider-trading case

Hedge fund manager Douglas Whitman and his California-based firm have been charged by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with making $980,000 from inside information provided as part of the Galleon insider-trading scandal, according to a complaint dated February 10.
