WestLB goes live with SunGard's Credient

German bank WestLB has gone live with Credient, SunGard Trading & Risk Systems' credit risk software package.

The bank said the package, which manages global credit limits and exposures, has been implemented throughout its global trading network, at 18 branches and with more than 300 users. “Traders around the world can use secure web technology to ensure they operate within our risk guidelines,” said Ottmar Bongers, managing director of the risk management support and control group at WestLB.

SunGard said the system has been designed to comply with the requirements of Basel II.

The New York-based technology company declined to comment on the cost.
