Gruppo Bancario Credito Emiliano (Credem) has selected SunGard's BancWare Capital Manager to help it implement the standardised and internal rating based foundation approaches for Basel II compliance. The bank, which is strongest in the central-northern region of Emilio Romagna, was Italy's twentieth-largest banking group by total assets in mid-2006.The BancWare package covers regulatory capital calculations and reporting, and full compliance with Pillars II and III of the Basel Accord.
