EU finance ministers call for hedge fund transparency

Rapid growth of hedge funds leads politicians to call for tighter rules and more transparency.

European finance ministers called for a voluntary commitment to improve the hedge fund industry's transparency at an informal meeting on April 20-21 in Berlin to discuss sustainable public finances, anti-VAT fraud measures and further action on hedge funds.
