LONDON – New research shows that UK businesses are not as prepared for disaster recovery as they should be.

"This research should make financial services firms think through their own BCP plans more carefully," says one industry trade organisation executive. "More financial services organisations have BCP plans than firms in other sectors, but often financial services firms are reliant on other companies for significant parts of their business. Will those suppliers still be functioning in the event of a crisis?"

The research, conducted by the Chartered Management Institute and the Civil Contingencies
