The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation is poised to join the battle to build a data pooling utility to help the industry navigate new market risk rules. The firm claims early tests show its proposed offering could cut banks’ exposure to risk factors that can’t be incorporated into internal models by more than 50% in some cases.
