Clients aren’t expected to be subject to a clearing mandate until 2015, according to a Risk.net poll

The majority of Risk.net readers now expect mandatory clearing for client trades to begin in Europe some time in 2015, putting the continent's derivatives users two years behind their counterparts in the US.

Thirty-seven per cent of respondents thought mandatory clearing wouldn't begin in the European Union (EU) until the second half of 2015, while 30% thought it would happen in the first six months of that year. Twenty-six per cent voted for the second half of 2014, but just 7% thought
