Sir Paul Ruddock is to retire as chief executive from Lansdowne Partners. He will hand over his responsibilities on June 30, 2013. Ruddock, who co-founded Lansdowne in 1998 with Steven Heinz, will remain a significant shareholder in the business.
"I now feel it is an appropriate moment to step down from Lansdowne to focus on my interests in the arts and helping address social issues. I am confident I am leaving the firm in tremendous shape," said Ruddock in a statement.
