Currency managers are having to get used to a new feeling of popularity in the world of pension funds.

Gone are the days when pension funds heard that currency was 'too difficult', 'not material', or 'not on the agenda' from those they spoke to about the currency opportunity. Now, by contrast, we see more and more pension funds and endowments - particularly in the UK and Continental Europe - looking at and adopting currency management, both for return and risk reduction.
