Simon Firth, partner in the investment management group at Berwin Leighton Paisner explains how to list a business and a fund on London's Alternative Investment Market

Stanley Fink, chief exeuctive officer of the world's largest listed hedge fund manager, Man Group, has said that he expects as many as 50 hedge fund firms to seek a listing within the next decade as their owners look to cash in.

However, he warned that before they could list, hedge funds would need to become more open about their businesses, strategies and investments. Activity on the market in 2006 has started to bear out his prophesy.
