Green Exchange, the environmental arm of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME Group), will become a fully fledged independent platform for trading of environmental products in January 2011. First launched in March 2008, up until now, participants have been trading Green Exchange products on the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) through CME Globex and CME ClearPort screens. But since the platform has gained its Designated Contract Market (DCM) status with the US regulatory authority –
