GlobalView Software is based in Chicago, Illinois and provides software solutions to fully integrate real-time and historical commodities market information using the internet and PC-based systems. GlobalView delivers products and services that enable customers to database, distribute, analyse, manipulate and optimise their use of market information throughout their enterprise.
GlobalView is a native Windows-based, client/server application with open architecture that enables users to accept disparate real-time and non-real-time data feeds from data vendors and display the data simultaneously in a consistent, user-friendly and customisable format. It is modular in both pricing and functionality.
EnergyView is an internet service that integrates the leading energy data providers into GlobalView’s user-friendly graphical interface. EnergyView features a cost-effective Basic Package that includes real-time quotes, news and weather information, as well as GlobalView’s Quotes, News, Graphics & Historical Data, and MapViewer modules.
MarketView – GlobalView’s newest product – is a Java-based internet, intranet and portal solution for displaying real-time streaming market information and historical data within a web browser. This new application suite is composed of a series of information display components and a powerful framework that provides a flexible and personalised interface for data viewing and manipulation.
Lastly, GlobalData is a data solution that leverages GlobalView’s extensive knowledge of data sourcing, database management, data structuring, data distribution and data display. GlobalData integrates real-time, non-real-time and historical prices, weather and news, providing a ‘one-stop shop’ for clients’ information requirements. Sources include APPI, Dow Jones Newswires, DTN, EA Gibson, FT Energy, OPIS, Petroleum Argus, PH Energy, Platts, RIM and Standard & Poor’s ComStock.
GlobalView also offers consulting services, including customised software development and integration services as well as extensive customer support and maintenance programmes.
GlobalView’s major clients include large multinational energy companies, online energy exchanges, industry portals and small to medium-sized independent energy trading firms
