Last year saw the merger of Dow Jones Indexes and S&P Indices. Alex Matturri, CEO of S&P Dow Jones Indices, talks about bringing the brands together and what lies in store for the future

In November 2011, CME Group, the owner of Dow Jones Indexes, and McGraw-Hill, owner of Standard & Poor's (S&P), announced a deal that would bring the owners of two of the world's most iconic indexes - the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) - together under a new venture, S&P Dow Jones Indices. In July last year, the new business was launched. The S&P 500 and the DJIA are two of the most widely used indexes for the construction of structured products and exchange-traded funds
