RBS extends emerging markets ETNs to China

The latest exchange-traded note in the Royal Bank of Scotland's Trendpilot series offers exposure to Chinese companies with a risk overlay

New ETN links to Chinese firms listed in the US

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has listed an exchange-traded note (ETN) on the New York Stock Exchange's Arca platform that provides volatility-controlled exposure to Chinese companies listed on US stock exchanges.

"This is our first purely international offering of a Trendpilot ETN," says Thomas Haines, New York-based director and head of North American listed products at RBS. "China is currently the second-largest economy by GDP, and yet most financial products have very little allocation to it
