Macquarie is extending its existing commodity sales and trading platform with the launch of a commodity investor products business, which will be led by ex-Goldman Sachs global head of commodities

Macquarie extends its commodity sales and trading platform

Australian investment bank Macquarie Group has announced it will start offering bespoke beta and absolute return commodity index products to institutional clients to meet increasing investor demand for alternative assets.

The bank's commodity investor products will be an extension of its existing commodity sales and trading platform, headed by Arun Assumall, who will join in June as global head of the new business within the fixed income, currencies and commodities group in London.
