BarCap launches UK retail structured fund

Barclays Capital has wrapped one of its popular FTSE 100-linked payouts into a fund to tap into the UK retail structured funds market.

Barclays Capital has launched a structured fund as part of a planned series of launches for the UK retail market.

The bank embarked on its structured funds business a few years ago but the offerings have been more institutionally focused until now. BarCap says it has seen demand for this type of fund from retail investors.

The fund is based on the FTSE 100 index, the dominant underlying in the UK market.
