Panel calls for increased hedge fund disclosure

Regulators discuss hedge fund risk management and transparency

Hedge funds and prime brokers should demonstrate greater transparency and attention to risk management, according to a regulatory panel at the Gaim Asia conference in Hong Kong in late March. The speakers also highlighted the importance of the Principles for the Valuation of Hedge Fund Portfolios published in mid-March by the Madrid-based International Organization of Securities Commissions (Iosco).
