Putnam creates three-headed fixed income unit

Kohli, Salm and Scanlon are the new co-heads

Putnam Investments has remodelled its fixed income investment group by promoting three senior executives. William Kohli, Michael Salm and Paul Scanlon have been appointed as co-heads of the firm’s fixed income team, which manages assets of around $60 billion.

Kohli previously worked as team leader for portfolio construction and global strategies; Salm as leader of liquid markets; and Scanlon as leader of US high yield. All three will report to Walter Donovan, CEO at Putnam.
