Duff & Phelps nabs two senior execs from Fitch

Greaves and Wood join the financial engineering practice.

Duff & Phelps, the financial advisory and investment banking firm, has appointed Simon Greaves and James Wood to its financial engineering practice in London.

Greaves, formerly managing director at Fitch Ratings with responsibility for the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions, has been appointed as lead managing director for D&P’s European financial engineering practice. His career has also included stints at Sumitomo Finance International, Credit Suisse and KPMG.

Wood, previously a managing director at Fitch and head of the agency’s structured products valuation group, has been hired as managing director of D&P’s financial engineering practice, specialising on designing quantitative models for the valuation of complex financial instruments.

Prior to Fitch, Wood ran his own business, Reoch Credit, a derivatives analytics and consultancy company.
