BAML hires co-head of credit sales

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Gerry Walker as co-head of Americas credit sales.

Working alongside Steve Hollender, who has led the bank’s investment grade credit sales team since 2004, Walker will manage investment grade, structured credit, leveraged and distressed sales in the region.

Based in New York, the pair will report to Bryan Weadock, co-head of global fixed income, currencies and commodities sales.

Walker joins from Deutsche Bank, where he worked in fixed income for more than 10 years. Most recently, he was head of US loans and high yield and distressed sales, and prior to that he was head of global loan sales and trading. He previously worked at JP Morgan in high yield sales.
