Sadeq Sayeed, the CEO of Nomura for Europe, Middle East and Africa, has announced he is to retire from the bank. He will remain in his role until a successor is appointed. Sayeed was a key architect of Nomura’s acquisition of Lehman Brothers’ European and Middle East operations in 2008. In addition to his role as CEO, he was also vice-chairman of Nomura from September 2008.
