US investors say recession is over

Fixed income investors believe the recession is over in the US, with the majority of investors predicting moderate growth in the US economy during 2010, according to a survey by Fitch Ratings.

Just over 50% of those surveyed said the US economy would grow by 2%-3% over the next 12 months, while 33% expected weaker growth of between 1% and 2%. Only 2% predicted an ongoing recession, with negative growth continuing through the year.

In comparison, in the June 2009 survey, the majority of investors
