A report from rating agency Fitch Ratings has highlighted a surge in private placement issuance from European corporations. The US market has been the main beneficiary of this growth, but as Alan McNee reports, the situation may not last

A noted shift is under way in the US private placement market, according to a recently published report, which is causing investment banks and corporations in both the US and Europe to reevaluate the future of the market and whether or not they are properly positioned to take advantage of the changes.
