Power market coupling is the cornerstone of efforts by the European Commission (EC) to create a single electricity market across Europe. The EC hopes the plan will bring major improvements to the continent's electricity market, making power flow more efficiently across borders, sharpening investment signals and allowing consumers and businesses to benefit from cheaper prices.
