Essent gains Spanish trading license

Essent Trading announced today that it has been granted a license to trade natural gas on the Spanish market by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce.

The license will give Essent access to 50% of LNG imported into Europe through through the Spanish market.

Essent first entered the Spanish market in March of this year by opening of a Madrid office headed up by Maria Fernandez Arguelles, who joined Essent in early 2008 as VP of Iberian origination.
