Investment structure key to attracting pension funds to UK infrastructure plan

The UK government will need to ensure that infrastructure investments are structured appropriately if it is to attract pension funds to participate in its National Infrastructure Plan.

Under the plan, announced in the autumn statement, the government is hoping to encourage pension funds to contribute £20 billion to schools, roads and railway projects.

It has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF), the Pension Protection Fund, and a number of fu
