Global macro will come out strongest

It looks like global macro will come out as the strongest performing hedge fund strategy for 2001, according to the latest figures from the CSFB/Tremont Hedge Fund Index, which shows the sector up 15.5% for the year to the end of November 2001. Convertible arbitrage follows close behind, up 14.2% for the year.
